This is what is so great about restaurants. INCENTIVES!

Showing up to work is an incentive in itself! You clock in and POOF! You are making money! As a server or bartender every table you serve and take care of gives you a tip at the end of their visit! Another incentive! Making their experience warm and memorable helps you make money!

The World has Changed! So have restaurants. Lately, it’s been a bumpy ride for me going back to work in the restaurant business and seeing all the changes that have taken place since 2020. Here are a few that I am STILL having problems adjusting to.

Pay Attention to your Guests and their EVERY need. This is simple and yet very powerful. It’s important to establish an honest rapport with the people you wait on. Get to know your guests whoever they are.

Restaurants are under a lot of pressure; even when they are profitable. The bottom line however is that every little mistake we make as servers, cooks, and bartenders help ruin that bottom line and make the restaurant less profitable.
